EIC Pathfinder Portfolio Kick-Off

On December 11th, 2024, the AM2PM project proudly participated in the EIC Pathfinder Portfolio AEC Kick-Off Meeting held at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) in Brussels. Representing AM2PM consortium were Aaron Sprecher, the project coordinator from Technion, and Michal Klauda from FENIX TNT. This milestone event brought together 10 innovative project consortia from across 17 EU member states and associated countries to tackle the critical challenge of decarbonizing the built environment.

The launch of this portfolio marks the beginning of a four-year journey aimed at advancing cutting-edge technologies to reduce demand-side emissions in the AEC sector. With a focus on computational design, digital fabrication, and sustainable material development, these projects collectively aim to transform traditional construction practices by minimizing material consumption and integrating alternative resources such as recycled, bio-based, mineral-based, and fibrous waste materials.

The event not only showcased each project’s unique vision and objectives but also set the stage for collaborative efforts to align their technological innovations with future regulations and commercial opportunities. AM2PM’s presentation, delivered by Aaron Sprecher, highlighted the project’s commitment to reimagining multistorey construction through robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable material innovation.

The 10 projects in attendanceFlexiForm, Stack, RAW, Universal Timber Slab Project, CARBCOMN, AlgoLoam, Archibiofoam, AM2PM, Pantarei, and Scene-B, represent a diverse array of approaches to achieving deep decarbonization in construction. Together, these initiatives will explore synergies, share insights, and contribute to a more sustainable and digitally advanced future for the AEC sector.

As AM2PM continues its ambitious mission to revolutionize construction with digital and predictive manufacturing, participation in the EIC Pathfinder Portfolio opens doors for meaningful collaboration and impactful contributions to Europe’s sustainability goals. The event underscores the importance of joint efforts in driving the next generation of low-carbon technologies and practices in construction.

A huge thank you to EIC for this incredible opportunity!
